I have found it. I swear I have! The most amazing cleaning product I have ever seen came into my life today and I am so happy. Just so you all know, I don’t clean, I’m bad at cleaning, so my being this excited about a cleaning product is a very, VERY big deal.
The Mag Float aquarium cleaner is seriously God’s gift to salt water aquarium owners. This little guy is amazing! (Am I being over the top, because I really don’t think I am!) Mag Float is a magnetic cleaning accessory that makes cleaning algae and other debris off the side of your fish tank an absolute breeze. Another bonus? This cleaner floats, meaning you’ll never again have to stick your entire arm into an aquarium to grab a cleaning tool that has sunk to the bottom of the aquarium.
The Mag Float uses rear earth neodymium magnets which are some of the most powerful out there. One side of the Mag Float is placed inside the aquarium, and the other piece on the outside. Simply place the outside piece near the inside magnet and you’ll soon be scrubbing algae away in swift, easy motions. When you’re ready to remove the water logged magnet, it’ll float to the surface for easy retrieval.
There are several benefits when it comes to purchasing the Mag Float, aside from its easy use. First of all, you won’t be knocking over corals, anemones, and other fragile items in the tank as you would with a traditional cleaning tool. Another great design benefit is that the Velcro cleaning pad doesn’t pick up rocks or sand, meaning that your aquarium won’t be scratched while you are cleaning as can happen with other pads. The ABS plastic used to make the Mag Float is completely safe for your aquarium and all of the fish and other species inside, meaning that it can be left attached to the aquarium for as long as you wish to leave it there.
Mag Float comes in a range of sizes and the producers have recently released an attachment, the Easy Blade. If you have algae or scum that is caked on your aquarium, this scraper attachment is a great way to get rid of it entirely. Simply attach it to your Mag Float and you’re in business!
Thoughts on the Mag Float? Well, if you have an opinion, review, or even some snarky comment about my excitement, post a comment and let everyone see what you have to say!
