The Amazing Stan and Debbie Hauter

So, today I’ve decided to do something a little different with the blog. I’m going to publish a very public THANK YOU to Stan and Debbie Hauter who are About.com guides to Salt Water aquariums.

As many of you know, this is my first experience at both blogging and at looking into salt water aquariums. It goes without saying that I’ve need a LOT of help. And where did I turn you may wonder? Right to About.com. There I found literally article after article detailing the exact information that I needed. And who wrote those fabulous articles? That’s right, it was the amazing Stan and Debbie!

Well, enough about me! Stan and Debbie have been in the aquatic fish business for nearly 20 years, which is plenty enough time for me to call them experts. Between the two of them they have made 10,000 dives, so they are very aware of how aquatic animals operate both in aquariums and in their natural environment. Much of this couple’s experience came from owning a quality fish business while they were living in Hawaii, where they lived for ten years.

Recently, however, the Hauter’s have moved to North Carolina, where they are in care of the fish department of an Animal Jungle store in a local shopping mall. Though North Carolina may not be a hot bed for aquatic activity, the years of hands on experience that Stan and Debbie have acquired ensure that nearly any question a customer or acquaintance asks can be answered. Debbie and Stan could answer your questions, too, if you need them to. Each week they sponsor two moderated chats a week on the About.com salt water blog.

If you want to read more about Stan and Debbie, check out their bio. They also have many great, great articles on About.com that I recommend reading. If you have thoughts on Debbie and Stan or you have info on other salt water aquarium experts POST A COMMENT!!
